Our specialist editor for the Packaging industry is Huw Kidwell, who studied dentistry in London
before deciding that teeth were not his thing, and switched to the University of Wales to study chemistry instead.
After a spell as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer in separations chemistry, Huw joined MolecularNature as a senior natural products chemist
and is an expert reviewer for several chemical and biochemical journals. He became a full-time consultant editor in 2002 and is now firmly involved
in the packaging sector too, having written for Packaging News, Soft Drinks International, Packaging-Gateway.com, Printed and Disposable Electronics News and Converting Intelligence.

Mike Page - a former Black Country Bloke from Darlaston, West Midlands, has been writing in trade and
technical journalism for some 30 or so years now
after serving a student apprenticeship, and as a production engineer, at GKN Sankey, Bilston and Wellington.
He also served time on Iron Age, Metalworking Production, European Automotive Production, Tunnels and Tunneling
and latterly, Welding and Metal Fabrication. Mike is also leading a CECIMO Manufacturing Technologies (MANTYS) taskforce
looking at the future machine tool requirements of the aerospace and automotive industries.
Free time is taken up with travel and railways, coupled with archaeology and hill walking - as well as enjoying good food!

Jon has been at the cutting edge of industrial marketing for more than 20 years, working for world leaders like
Hyster, Mitutoyo and First Index. Jon has been publisher of the highly-regarded Manufacturing Times magazine and
has launched a number of corporate newsletters and magazines.
Our specialist Manufacturing IT editor is Jonathan Newell, who spent ten years with IBM,
initially as a manufacturing engineer and later holding various positions relating to manufacturing planning and control.
He then took on a variety of roles in consultancy and interim management before taking the position of IT Director
for an international leisure marine group.He has written for Industrial Technology and Croner Publications.
